The 50m freestyle is one of the most exciting and fast-paced events in swimming. The world record for the women’s short course 50m freestyle is currently held by Dutch swimmer Ranomi Kromowidjojo, who swam the distance in an incredible 22.93 seconds. Other top performers in this event include Sarah Sjoestroem, Cate Campbell, Magdalena Veldhuis, Therese Alshammar, and Katarzyna Wasick.
